We provide safety coordination, project planning and trained safety personnel for turn-around, construction, drilling and day-to-day field operations.

Bravo Target Safety is currently looking for Project Managers to join our team. Reporting directly to the Turnaround Manager, the Project Manager will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, and supervise the efforts of project team members. The Project Manager is the primary person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering contracted corporate projects and turnarounds on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the lifecycle of specific projects, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities.
  • Efficiently deliver project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders and upward reporting to senior management must be performed throughout each project.
  • Design, implement, and supervise the implementation of new system installations, expansions, modifications, migrations, and other projects.
  • Establish a project charter, execution strategy, define project goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure, milestones, and deliverables for each specified project.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk analyses, and ROI calculations to determine project feasibility.
  • Manage project and turnaround activities throughout the lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success.
  • Plan all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or PM methods.
  • Organize project teams into suitable workgroups and guide the teams throughout their efforts to produce deliverables according to specification.
  • Negotiate with other business units to obtain required skill sets.
  • Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to stakeholders via a formal communications plan.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and forums to solicit feedback, input, and expectations; incorporate these into project plans.
  • Establish, implement, and follow a formal change management program.
  • Reallocate resources across multiple projects where necessary; identify and resolve any resource allocation discrepancies.
  • Adhere to established methodologies for project management.
  • Produce regular reports (status, escalations, etc.) on the progress of projects; deliver these reports during regular stakeholder meetings.
  • Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary.
  • Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associate work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk.
  • Manage project dependencies.
  • Conduct project post-mortems to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings.
  • Assist in preparing and share manpower and equipment requirements with appropriate personnel.
  • Completion of a Daily Report which will be cumulative and forwarded on a weekly basis for review / discussion / action close out.
  • Review for accuracy and adjust as required, sign off on, and submit Daily Time Sheets.
  • Perform site inspections on field staff and document findings on appropriate forms.
  • Share findings from safety meetings, site inspection and Clients with the Turnaround Manager to ensure effective follow up is achieved.
  • Investigate all near misses and incidents, record and report to the HSEQ and Turnaround Manager and Client in a timely matter.
  • Support investigations and progressive disciplinary actions as required and record in the daily report to ensure the appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner.
  • Conduct employee evaluations with direct reports and provide feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • The ability to communicate, build relationships, and work well with a wide variety of people including upper management, stakeholders, office and field staff, diverse cultures and various work experience levels.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to assess corporate climate, socio-economic factors, trends, and other criteria to determine chances of project success.
  • Intuitive grasp of organizational structure to manage cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation.
  • Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Superb creation and facilitation of meetings, feedback sessions, and briefings to create consensus among stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Proven experience managing staff, equipment, consumables, and logistics needs.
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
  • Working Knowledge of: Oil and Gas sector operations; Health and Safety legislation; familiar with Canadian DOT, TDG and Transport Canada regulations pertaining to handling and hauling dangerous goods and materials.
  • 5 years of field experience in safety, oilfield services, drilling, field operations or plant construction.
  • 5 years experience in project management.
  • Project management certifications preferred.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to work overtime, shift work and to work away for extended periods of time as required.
  • Clean Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • H2S Alive.
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
  • Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C.
