What’s a Safety Watch?

When industrial facilities (petrochemical plants, refineries, oil sands facilities, etc.) shut down for regular maintenance, often called “turn-arounds”,  hundreds (or thousands) of workers come onsite to clean, inspect and repair the tanks, vessels and equipment. Our job is to keep those workers safe by regularly testing for hazardous gases, keeping eyes on them when they are working in “confined spaces”, supplying them with clean “breathing air” from our pressurized air systems, and ensuring fires don’t spark-up from welding activities. These are the duties of our Safety Watch and we train you to do this work.

Where’s the work?

We work across Western Canada:

• Camp jobs in Northern Alberta where we fly you to site (and you spend no money!)
• Hotel jobs where we provide you a daily allowance for subsistence.
• Local jobs (typically in the Edmonton region) where you drive yourself to site and home at night.

 Requirements:

• H2S Alive Certification* obtained through Energy Safety Canada

Bravo Target Safety is looking for Primary Care Paramedics who are registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics. This is an exciting opportunity to begin or advance your career within Bravo Target Safety.

Job Duties:

• Report directly to station manager or medical services manager
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections on unit/vehicle
• Drive vehicle to and from location in a safe and courteous manner
• Park MTC/EMS unit in a safe and accessible location allowing for easy egress opportunity for potential emergency situations
• Upon arrival on location, introduce yourself to the site supervisor and review details of job and expectations with the site supervisor
• Complete site-specific orientation as required
• Contact and set-up or update STARS site number, and complete BTS paperwork package
• Conduct and maintain proper and accurate headcount unless otherwise advised
• Provide medical standby-by services and respond to any emergency as per your training and provincial scope of practice
• Review and advice on emergency response plans as it relates to a specific site and scope
• Conduct site safety tours and pre-job inspections prior to completing hazard assessments
• Participate in all Safety Meetings. Review SDS for hazardous materials
• Rig in and test equipment for emergency medical response based on training, Industry Recommended Practices, company policies, medical protocols and client rules and expectations
• Complete inventory and perform function tests of medical equipment and supplies
• Incident reporting and assist in investigations as required
• Regularly inspect emergency equipment as per training and to manufacturer’s standards
• Participate in emergency drills as required by Bravo Target Safety and/or the Client
• Participate in in-house training program on a regular basis
• Maintain emergency response apparatus as per manufacturer’s recommendations and related standards require (deep cleaning patient compartments, regular maintenance on trucks, units kept clean and ready for emergency response if needed)

This is a fulltime contract position based out of Edmonton/Leduc. Pertinent experience is preferred, but we would be willing to train the right candidate for this position. As a QAQC Project Coordinator, you would report directly to the Logistics manager. The QAQC Project Coordinator is a key member of the Leadership team as part of a peer-to-peer supportive network. Job Duties:

• Provide QAQC knowledge and expertise to peers and business departments as necessary
• Responsible for forecasting and allocating internal and external equipment resources to major projects.
• Must report all missing equipment and/or damages incurred throughout major projects, and provide estimates for additional time for post cleanup or preparation
• Support in the procurement of safety products (PPE and consumables for project specific needs)
• Support in the setup, stagging and demobilization of equipment
• Provide rates for 3rd party billing and invoicing
• Liaise with project team members regularly and maintain project stock levels
