First time safety support personnel can expect to earn $7,500 per month, with experienced staff eligible to earn up to $9,000 per month. In many cases, work is based in remote areas where accommodation and meal plans are included. In principle, workers may choose to live virtually expense-free for the duration of their contracts.

Bravo Target Safety is looking for Safety Watch personnel interested in participating in our comprehensive safety program.  If you are interested, you are encouraged to apply for our 2018 Turnaround Season.  No experience necessary, we will train you!

Our Safety Watch personnel are responsible but not limited to: Working safely; Understanding and applying:

  • company and client policies and procedures
  • industry practices & fundamental client regulation
  • emergency response plans
  • specific job operations and equipment
  • monitoring: emergency planning zones
  • work habits of others
  • providing and promoting safety on-site
  • conducting: drills, rescues, inspections & tests
  • site hazard assessments and meetings on-site
  • wearing and maintaining required personal protective equipment.
  • Watch out for hazards in the workplace while work is performed by other employees.
  • Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit.
  • Keep flammable materials from ignition sources.
  • Stop operations if you find any hazardous condition.
  • Maintain constant means of communication.
  • As much as possible, keep visual and voice contact with other employees.
  • Before and during each shift, inspect the entire work area and look for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids.
  • Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts anytime.
  • Never leave the job site while the work is being done. If you have to leave, stop the job and notify workers that you are “standing-by-for”.

Basic oilfield tickets are required to be considered for this position:

  • H2S Alive
  • CSTS or PST
  • Standard First Aid – with CPR/AED – Level A or C
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test

Our Turn Around Project Coordinators are responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service internally.
  • Coach and mentor workers and lead hands on a consistent basis.
  • Review and confirm equipment to be dispatched and work with QA/QC to ensure all equipment and consumables have been identified.
  • Meet with Project Managers and workers to discuss expectations, project length, logistics, hours and accommodations.
  • Set up Job Trailer and maintain cleanliness and organization of the work space.
  • Maintain daily communication with Site administrator, lead hands regarding people equipment, consumables, client relationships and overall project status.
  • Report and investigate all incidents and near misses to the Project Manager and Client as soon as practical.
  • Conduct Daily Tool Box Meetings with project work crew.
  • Complete Worksite Inspections.
  • Review workers Timesheets daily to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete Daily Activity Report
  • Be visible and active on the job site to oversee operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven 2 – 4 years Safety Turnaround experience in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience managing staff
  • Proven experience managing equipment, consumables and logistics needs
  • H2S Alive, First Aid Level A or C, PST or CSTS, and post hire Internal SWIP onboarding program
  • Working Knowledge of: O&G sector operations; H&S legislation; familiar with Canadian DOT, TDG and Transport Canada regulations pertaining to handling and hauling dangerous goods and materials.

Requirements:
